The Diabetic Supply Procurement Program is administered by Magellan Medicaid Administration, Inc./Provider Synergies. This program, like other PDL programs offered by MMA, brings exceptional value and significant savings to the Participating States
Implemented first in Pennsylvania in 2008, the Diabetic Supply Procurement Program now includes 7 states and covers more than 4 million lives. In addition to Pennsylvania, Participating States include Kentucky, New Hampshire, New York, South Carolina, Wisconsin and The District of Columbia.
Magellan Medicaid Administration, Inc./Provider Synergies contracts with 17 Diabetic Supply manufacturers, including the "big 4", Abbott, LifeScan, Roche and Bayer. The program uses Magellan Medicaid Administration, Inc./Provider Synergies market share purchasing power to negotiate rebates for diabetic supplies paid for by State Medicaid programs. To date the program has invoiced and, more importantly, collected $138 million in rebates for our customers.
