Provider Synergies is a premier company in the management of Preferred Drug Lists (PDLs) and the negotiation of Supplemental Rebates for state Medicaid agencies. Our core belief that "better information leads to better decisions" has resulted in the development of clinically sound and financially prudent PDLs for our clients.
On January 1, 2006, Provider Synergies, LLC, became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Coventry Health Care, Inc. With the addition of Provider Synergies to the Coventry family, which also includes First Health Services Corporation, Coventry companies now contract with 26 states to provide Preferred Drug List and/or Supplemental Rebate program administration services. The combined resources of Provider Synergies, First Health Services, and Coventry allow us to provide expanded, comprehensive clinical services to our clients.
Together, Provider Synergies and First Health Services manage the PDL for nearly 14 million lives and approximately $13.5 billion in drug expenditures. The companies boast the first and largest two multi-state pharmaceutical purchasing pools in the nation, TOP$ (Provider Synergies) and NMPI (First Health Services).
